Law Enforcement Officers Must Undergo Mental Stability Test – Taiwo Oluga

The honourable member of the House of Representatives, representing Ayedaade/Irewole/Isokan Federal Constituency, Hon. Taiwo Oluga has proposed an amendment to ensure that law enforcement agencies in the country must undergo mental stability test and that such tests should be periodical to all law enforcement officers nationwide.

Hon. Taiwo Oluga disclosed this, at the plenary proceedings held today, 5th of March, 2020, presided over by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, after one of her honourable colleagues in the house, Hon. Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga moved a motion on the need to re-assess and re-evaluate the tactical squads of the Nigeria Police Force, which was seconded by Hon. Akintola George.

It would be recalled that the Inspector General of Police recently disbanded a unit of the Nigeria Police Force, Special Bureau Unit that monitors officers of the force including Tactical Squads.
