Every 8th of March has been recognized as the International Day of Women all over the world, and Nigeria is not left out in the celebration. Nigerian women are true mothers, and they deserve to be celebrated.
Hon. Taiwo Oluga, Chairman, House Committee on Women in Parliament, in the House of Representatives, made this assertion while answering questions from the press on the importance of celebrating women, which has become a global occurrence. She further stated that every nation that recognises, respects and celebrates women is building the future of the country on a solid rock, because women are mothers of the nation.
She therefore congratulates and celebrates Nigerian Women for staying firmly, without fear, behind our great country Nigeria through prayers, and she prays that they shall not labour in vain.
Hon. Oluga used the occasion to call on Nigerian women to participate more politics as according to her”we understand the pains more and we can figure out the solution more easily .”
