The Chairperson, House Committee on Women in Parliament, Hon. Taiwo Oluga has given kudos to the Governor of the State of Osun, Alhaji ‘Gboyega Oyetola, for taking women into consideration, as he named some women among the Chairmen, Secretaries, Members and Community Relations Officers (CROs) appointed for the Local Government Education Authority (LGEA) in all the Local Government Areas across the State.
Hon. Oluga who has been tagged by many as an advocate of more women in politics & governance, expressed in a statement signed today and made available to the press via her media aide, where she stressed on the significance of considering more women in governance. She hereby appreciates the Governor for the prompt constitution of the board.
Mrs Oluga asserted that it cannot be disputed that the involvement of women in politics/governance has played and is still playing a vital role in any good government. She admonished those appointed by the Governor to make a great impact by contributing positively in order to enliven the educational tempo of the state.
