Workers’ Day 2020: Hon. Taiwo Oluga Appreciate Workers For Their Unalloyed Dedication To Nation Building
“If the entire workforce of a nation stop work,the country stops. Let us realize this and celebrate the workers – these great people who make our country move”.
The above statement was made by the Honourable member representing Ayedaade/Irewole/Isokan Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Taiwo Oluga, in an interview today, 1st of May, 2020, a special day dedicated to celebrate workers all over Nigeria.
The interview with the Honourable, which was conducted via Skype in the early hours of today, discussed mainly the workers’ dedication towards nation building, where Hon. Oluga, without mincing words spelled out the great importance of workers in every nation. “I have never seen a nation prosper without meaningful contributions from her workers”, Oluga said.
She used the medium to appreciate Nigerian workers for the sacrifice they have made in the past, the listening ears they have given the present government and the utmost support they have given the Federal Government of Nigeria, especially at this time that we are battling with the spread of the deadly Coronavirus.
She further admonished them, to be more dedicated to work, so as to recover whatever that the country might have lost during this stay at home era, as it is known that the country shall be experiencing a rebound.
The chairperson, House Committee on Women in Parliament, therefore prayed for the workers not to be found wanting whenever the fruits of their labours are ripe for consumption, and urge those that will be resuming nationwide on Monday, 4th of May, 2020 to be more conscious and always observe strictly, the instructions given by the NCDC and FG in stopping the spread of the virus.
